THE BRUTUS

The Brutus secures a doorway like nothing else on the market. Designed for industrial spaces, modern lofts and a good old-fashioned man cave, the Brutus is a no-nonsense combination of metal and wood that makes clear what side of the door you’re on. Hand-constructed from salvaged rough fir stile and rails, the front of the Brutus has tongue and grooved cedar planks running the length of the center, an expanded metal sheet that floats over the cedar and metal handles on either edge of the front of the door. We float the expanded metal above the cedar allowing for the customized addition of a painted or routed image, monogram or thin metal cut-out. The back of this uncompromising door is like the front but without the handles or expanded metal sheeting. As with all of JonDorr’s portals, the Brutus is built by hand using traditional joinery and finishing techniques, and requires no assembly.
